The First Time

I remember the first time
For once you felt
If you'd committed a crime
I know you were shy
And a little scared too
But I'm glad, you did try
I felt your body close to mine
And in your eyes
I could see a shine
Your face told the story
You defeated your shyness
And illuminated with glory
Out of shyness you took stand
For the first time you walked
Holding my hand

We Are One

"Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isaai; aapas me sab bhai bhai", this is what I learned when I was a kid. But, as I grew up I saw different world all together. A world governed by the religious warlords, manipulating innocents to kill on the basis of religion; and the irony is, that people do. We forget all the teachings that were taught. We forget phrases like "unity in diversity". Why? Because somebody with a “long beard”, or somebody with a “teekah” on his forehead; promised us a place in heaven. And in our conquest to heaven, we’re making our world and our lives HELL. From ‘unity in diversity’ we've started to follow, ‘those who do not follow your God must be killed’. In the name of peace bloodshed is supported. ‘There is one GOD’, doesn't apply anymore. And this war never ends, previously it used to be on roads once in a while but now we have social media to support the cause. If you go to a religious page on facebook or any other social media, I wonder if you find any teachings. All you would see is people abusing the religions and their followers. And they abuse the synonyms of ‘The One’.

I don’t understand what is wrong with the generation. In what direction we are heading. I am worried, what are we going to teach the coming generation? Do we want them to be born in a battlefield, or we'll make the world a better place, a peaceful place for the generations to come. I’ll leave it on you to answer it for yourself. We have to understand, WE ARE ONE.

The Kiss

I do not know how it will feel
When your lips and mine will seal
Your lovely lips, when they shine
I feel like touching them with mine
We haven’t shared that moment yet
But, it’s gonna be amazing, I bet
And your lips, they tell the same tale
They crave for mine, on the same scale
One day we’ll overcome this desire
I’ll hold you close and ignite the fire
For now I won’t say more
One day I’ll taste what I adore.

Best Cookies I've Ever Tasted

Three of us were high that night, two, because they were drunk; and I was senseless due to lack of sleep. The get together was at my place. Around 2 am, we felt hungry and decided to step out. We headed to twenty-four seven store. We walked around two kilometres and reached our destination.

“Guys, what do you want to eat?” I asked. We ended up with a coke, 3 hot-dogs, and a small pack of biscuits. First I picked bourbon and then I replaced it with some other random brand. And I paid around Rs. 600. While we were eating, one of my friends asked, “How much did you pay?” I told him the amount and he freaked out, and he was right. The bill shouldn't have had exceeded Rs. 350. He asked me to check the bill; I searched my pockets and realized that I dropped it somewhere. Hence, we returned.

We were all settled again and were busy with our chit chat. And I decided to check the price of the cookies we bought. The moment I saw it, my eyes popped out, and as I read it their scotch went in vain. Yes, the tag said Rs. 245. ONE SMALL PACK OF BISCUITS. But, as I opened the packet, it looked scrumptious. Cookies dipped in liquid chocolate. Best cookies we've ever tasted.

Hope

Earth, water, air, fire…
You create all you desire
You say and it’s done
That’s why you’re the one

Then you bested your creation
And you created humans
A race different from the rest
You felt proud and called them best

But something went really bad
I am not sure, but it’s sad
People are divided in your name
Worshiping you has become a game

There is bloodshed in your name
Innocents are killed without any shame
So called priests, the warlords survive
Innocents die and the culprits thrive

Killings, bombings, life’s turning worse
Seems humanity is under a curse
And there are some kind ones too
For help, they are waiting for you

End their wait, show your power
On them, let your mercy shower
Put an end to all the evil
It’s time, please kill the devil.
